lyrics

Don't relegate me to the menial tasks
I can get my work done, and I can do it fast
Drive past quick in a fat black Cadillac
Coming back with more shit to add to the stack

Give me a lesson and a second to comprehend
And you won't have to show me how to do it again

Because it's been in my family since 1945
Grandfather brought it back to show me how to survive
Think about how he changed when his friends passed away
And I think about how their sweethearts cried that day

That's the love
That's the love
That's the highest love I know
Come over here and give me a kiss,
we've got something to grow
We've got something to grow
We've got something to grow
Come over here and give me a kiss,
we've got something to grow
We've got something to grow

Old lady calls and asks what I plan to do
with my future and the things I learned in school
Says it's best to start something else when one thing's through
This thing's through
This thing's through
This thing's through

It's time to work, the well is running dry
With no money in my pocket, no way to survive
I don't have time, I don't have time,
I don't have time to sit around
It's time to get on my feet and start covering ground
Start covering ground,
Start covering ground
Come over here and get on your feet, we're gonna cover some ground
We're gonna cover some ground

about

Glen Echo Nashville, Tennessee

Glen Echo is a band. It started (technically) in a basement in 10th grade. It started again in 2011 and played a lot into 2013. Then one of two members moved to Vietnam, and the game was put on pause. Now things are rumbling, once again.
